Elephant and Castle West is a build-to-rent home development by Get Living. The project encompasses three towers, three mansion blocks and an existing community building. It is set to deliver 507 new homes, 452 student accommodation spaces, and refurbishment of the community facilities.

We worked as Passivhaus consultants alongside the Allies and Morrison Architectural team and enjoyed the challenge of applying Passivhaus to the large-scale high-rise design. We worked diligently to shape the design and demonstrate how Passivhaus could be achieved within the constraints of the existing design.

We developed specialist models for numerous "what if" assessments, providing quick and accurate feedback on opportunities to inform the design. This, combined with our experience, gave the team a strong understanding and confidence to optimise design for capital cost and mitigate risks perceived by tendering contractors.
