As part of a major estate regeneration programme in Barking, eight new homes at Palomar Court have been delivered to the Passivhaus standard, with WARM acting as the certifier. This pilot project showcases how off‑site light‑gauge steel construction can successfully meet rigorous low‑energy performance targets.
This pilot scheme explored options to apply to future phases of the development. The two blocks are connected by a glazed lobby. As the project developed it became clear certification as one complete block would not be possible so they are separated into 2 blocks.
