The WARM difference

WARM advised the site and Passivhaus Designer teams on issues such as avoiding thermal bypass risks in the roof insulation and thermal bridge modelling of the steel columns at the perimeter junction.

We highlighted an overheating risk with an earlier iteration of the design, resulting in increased provision of opening windows, ultimately benefitting the comfort of the pupils and staff.

Structural steel framing system clearly visible, with windows already fitted.

The space between the steel column and the structural steel framing system stud is a tricky gap to insulate well.

Gap along the bottom of the wall insulation has been filled with expanding foam insulation.

Window frames neatly taped to the air tightness layer on the window reveal.
